Flora & Fauna - Bruce Peninsula
Orchids, Rattlesnakes, and Bears, oh my! Situated on the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve, between the ever glorious Georgian Bay and sandy beaches of Lake Huron, the Bruce Peninsula is a rich haven for flora and fauna not found elsewhere in the Province. The unique microclimate on "the Bruce" is due, in part, to the diverse habitats of large untouched forests, rugged cliffs, flat rocky alvars and swampy wetlands.
