With a #vision you can begin to see a desire to solve the world’s problems, but you’ll need a mission if you really want to make a difference. They are two different things. Your mission is the reason behind your vision. Why do it? Why does your vision matter?
By asking the right questions, a single mission sentence can be gleaned. Our mission at Hawkeye Hill is:
To promote community sufficiency and generational involvement by developing homes that thrive in harmony with soil, sun & neighbours through permaculture practices, regenerative agriculture and animal husbandry.
What is your mission?
What is the purpose of your business idea? Explain the reason for your vision. It's probably really easy to see the benefits for you and your family members. But what about the bigger focus, the other focus? Is there a give back or give away that would bless your neighbours too?
At Hawkeye Hill, our mission list includes (but is not limited to):
Help reduce erosion and strengthen the eroding forest & hill
Manage water & control runoff, especially in spring & fall
Reduce toxins that flow down the hill into the river
Collect and store rainwater to water & wash plants
Create a micro environment to enable macro growth
Regenerate the soil with a biodiverse and organic approach
Educate and spread the message of farming as a soul reward
Cultivate good food from hard work
Provide local food to the community
Experience the reward of grounding in the soil
Nurture the desire to work in symbiosis with nature
What is your mission in life?
